The Office for Statistics and Urban Research regularly publishes various reports on political elections: a structural data booklet provides information in advance on the composition of the electorate and on the results of previous elections. A detailed election analysis is usually published in the week following an election, which presents the (provisional) election results. The analysis focuses on voter turnout and voting decisions by age and gender; other aspects such as party strongholds, voter migration and, where applicable, vote splitting can also be considered.
