Urban research
Urban structures and urban development are the focus of urban research in Wiesbaden.
The intrinsic logic of the city is analyzed in an interdisciplinary manner along many different aspects in order to identify problem areas and the need for action and to provide politicians, planners and the public with well-founded information and decision-making aids based on the current state of research.
To this end, urban research draws on statistical analyses and surveys, but also uses qualitative survey methods and various forms of participation. The current state of scientific discussion and known good examples in the respective specialist context are always taken into account.
The aspects considered are wide-ranging and include, among others
- Economic developments
- Demographic developments
- Social and political developments
- Cultural life
- Spatial distribution
