Offers from school social work for young people

KEP - The Competence Development Program

"And after school?" - When this question arises, KEP comes into play. The competence development program offers all pupils individual career guidance.

KEP - The Competence Development Program

Finding out what you want to do after school, which apprenticeship or which school suits you, how to apply for a job or impress at speed dating is not that easy.

KEP helps pupils to find their way in life and to make the best possible transition to an apprenticeship or to an actual further education or follow-up measure.

"Waiting loops" are not an option for KEP, which is why KEP has been systematically implemented at all schools with youth social work since 2007 and actively involves parents and guardians in the process of vocational orientation.

KEP includes offers such as

  • A wide range of career orientation activities, such as company tours, career days or DU bist BERUFen
  • Social skills training
  • Exam preparation
  • various offers for basic vocational qualification (one-week offers to experience a profession / occupational field intensively)

KEP provides targeted support for the orientation and transition process with these consecutive offers. Individually, according to the questions and interests of each pupil. This process is also made successful by the close cooperation with the Employment Agency, the Youth Case Management as the municipal job center of the state capital of Wiesbaden and many other cooperation partners. These include educational institutions as well as many Wiesbaden companies. Thanks to their high level of commitment, the offers are not only work-oriented, "tangible", practical and realistic, but also contribute to a large local training placement.
