Christopher Street Day Wiesbaden
Christopher Street Day kicked off on May 25 with a demonstration parade at Warmen Damm. From 4 pm, a varied cultural and political program was offered in the Kulturpark...
Motto: Defend democracy - preserve diversity
Wiesbaden Pride, the CSD Wiesbaden, took place for the twelfth time in 2024. This year, it once again took to the streets to draw attention to the ongoing individual and structural discrimination against queer people. At the subsequent summer festival and party in the evening, all participants celebrated their queer identity and the successes that the community has been able to achieve in the past. This year's motto was "Defend democracy - preserve diversity".
Saturday: demonstration, summer festival and CSD party
On Saturday, May 25, the CSD started with a demonstration from 1 pm at Warmen Damm. The demonstration ended at around 4 p.m. at the Kulturpark next to the slaughterhouse in Wiesbaden. The free summer festival began there with music, performances and shows. And the legendary CSD party at the Schlachthof started at 10 pm.
Kicking off on Friday
In 2024, the organizers expanded the events surrounding "Pride - CSD Wiesbaden": The starting signal was given on Friday, May 24, the day before the CSD. A panel discussion - political and social - took place in the Maria-Hilf Church in Wiesbaden, followed by a queer church service and a drag show from 8 pm.
