Kita Kastel, better known as Kita Eichelwäldchen, is a little hidden between Boelckestraße and Steinernstraße. Even from the outside, the large outdoor area with its many old trees is striking. In addition to the group rooms, there is a large exercise room and the side rooms of the after-school care center are used by the elementary children for small group activities. The wide corridor allows the children to take part in other physical activities. Our concept is based on the "pyramid method", a holistic play, learning and work concept developed in Holland. Language and cognitive as well as motor and musical development areas and personality development are specifically promoted. The children explore and discover the world through exciting games, independent learning, interesting projects and targeted cursory activities. Children are particularly encouraged in their language development. In small groups, they receive a variety of stimuli and a wide range of activities to consolidate and further develop their language and communication skills. We have been a Hessian movement kindergarten since 2010. The children have a wide range of opportunities for movement, both indoors and outdoors. They are accompanied and supported in their movement development. Comprehensive health promotion in the triad of exercise, relaxation and healthy eating is ensured in the long term. Further focal points are Nature and environmental education, computer work, transition from nursery to elementary school, promotion of creativity. In addition, parents receive special offers.
