All-day schools

Nine elementary school in Wiesbaden work according to the guidelines set out in Section 15 of the Hessian Schools Act and the quality framework for all-day schools in Hesse in different profiles.

All-day schools

All-day programs at elementary school offer children reliable care beyond the classroom. They include educational support, leisure activities and a hot lunch. The aim is to complement the school day in a meaningful way and to support families with childcare.

A total of around 728 places are offered at Wiesbaden elementary school with all-day programs (Profile 1 and Profile 2) or all-day schools (Profile 3) (as of the 2023/2024 school year).

All schools with all-day facilities offer a hot lunch as well as age-appropriate common rooms and recreation rooms. There are also play and rest facilities, which are important prerequisites for inclusion in the state's all-day program.

The offer includes homework supervision, support measures as well as study groups and projects that supplement and extend the lessons. There are also open sports and leisure activities.

You can find more information about all-day programs at a specific school via the school district search on the respective school website.
