Youth Info Center

The Youth Info Center is centrally located in the city center at the Luisenforum. Here, young people can find advice, support and information for all kinds of questions and problems.

Blue, gray and black beanbags stand in front of a shop window. A banner at the top reads "JIZ".

The Wiesbaden Youth Information Center (JIZ) is a facility of the Office for Social Work that provides comprehensive information and advice to young people up to the age of 27.

It offers support in areas such as youth work, counseling and participation opportunities and provides information on leisure activities, legal issues and other relevant topics.

The JIZ also supports projects and ideas from young people, for example through the "Youthbank; 10 times 1,000 euros for your ideas" campaign.

It offers help in emergency situations, for example with family problems, addiction, debt or bullying, and provides information on emergency accommodation.

The center is committed to the participation of young people in social processes and organizes events such as the Wiesbaden Youth Conference.

There are various flyers on a wooden table, with "JIZ" written on a red wall in the background.

Youth Information and Participation Service Center

The Service Center for Youth Participation and Youth Information in Wiesbaden is a central point of contact for young people who want to find out about participation opportunities and information services in the city. It is run by the JIZ and supports young people in actively participating in shaping their environment.

Services offered by the service center:

  • Information and advice: Provision of information on participation rights and opportunities as well as advice on current projects and initiatives in Wiesbaden.
  • Support with projects: Help with implementing your own ideas and projects, for example through the Youth Bank, which provides financial support for young people's projects.
  • Promotion of participation formats: Organization of events such as the Wiesbaden Youth Forum, which gives young people the opportunity to work towards peaceful, diverse and democratic coexistence.

The service point thus promotes the active participation of young people in social processes and supports them in putting their ideas and concerns into practice.

The corner of a hissing plate and a row of chairs can be seen in the foreground. "JIZ" is written on a red wall.

  • Free and anonymous: Young people receive confidential advice without any financial burden.
  • Expert lawyers: The advice is provided by qualified lawyers.
  • Preparation through advance inquiries: Concerns can be submitted in advance to enable targeted advice.
  • No takeover of cases: The lawyers do not represent clients in court, but only offer initial advice.
  • Regular appointments: The consultation takes place on set days, current dates can be found here.
