Integration assistance

The purpose of integration assistance is to enable people with disabilities to lead individual lives and to promote full, effective and equal participation in society.

It is intended to enable people with disabilities to plan and lead their lives as independently and autonomously as possible.

The Department of Integration Assistance and Participation of the State Capital of Wiesbaden is responsible as the local provider of integration assistance for

Children and young people up to upper secondary level with (impending) mental and physical disabilities.
In addition, the state capital of Wiesbaden, as the local youth welfare organization, is responsible for

Children and young people (up to the age of 18) and young adults (up to the age of 21 or 23) with an (imminent) mental disability
Once these age limits have been reached, the Landeswohlfahrtsverband Hessen is generally the responsible integration assistance provider.
