Forest fire danger - warning level 5 purple = Further important measures are required in addition to the measures of warning levels 3 and 4.
At warning level 5, the highest warning level, further important measures are required in addition to the measures at warning levels 3 and 4; events with cooking and roasting stalls and barbecues are generally prohibited.
Green spaces
- Barbecue areas and fireplaces in the forest are closed, checks are carried out by the forestry authority and the municipal police.
- The warning level is always valid for one week and is announced on Wednesdays by the Parks Department.
- Banners indicating safe behavior in the forest will be hung at the main entrances to the barbecue areas and forest parking lots.
- Measures in the event of violations...... with information on the costs of fire department operations.
- Restaurants and allotment gardens within 100 meters (or less) of the edge of the forest are not allowed to light fires or pyrotechnics.
- The forest fire alarm plan comes into force. A task force of the emergency response authorities is convened.
The public
- If there are any changes, the public will be informed via press articles, wiesbaden.de and social media.

- Case-by-case decision as to whether public events with cooking and roasting stands are still permitted by the regulatory authority.
Environment
- No more deliberate burning of garden waste.
- No more permits for fireworks.
- No barbecues with charcoal in private areas at a distance of 100 meters (or less) from the edge of the forest.
