Urban Green & Environment

Reisinger plants

Wiesbaden is a city surrounded by greenery - characterized by historic parks, extensive green spaces and lively leisure areas. The listed parks, such as the Kurpark or Biebrich Palace Park, impress with their artistically designed landscapes and old trees. At the same time, modern facilities such as the Kulturpark am Schlachthof offer creative open spaces for exercise and encounters. Playgrounds, football pitches and urban exercise areas complete the diverse range of facilities for all generations.

The natural interlocking of the city with the valleys of the Taunus is particularly unique. Green corridors such as the Nerotal or the Rabengrund connect urban life with the wooded heights and provide direct routes into the countryside. The landscape is steeped in myth and history - the giant Ekko is said to have once been attracted to the Wiesbaden springs before his own echo drove him into the rocks.

Wiesbaden's green spaces are more than just recreational areas - they promote the urban climate, biodiversity and quality of life. They are places of retreat, exercise areas and shape the cityscape in a unique way.
