The School of Public Management and Security (HöMS) unites three former institutions under one roof.

The former

• Hessian University of Applied Sciences for Police and Administration (HfPV)
• Hesse Police Academy (HPA)
• Central Further Education Hesse (ZFH)

The HöMS is thus the central university of the state of Hesse for police and administration and bundles studies, training and further education as well as recruitment and police psychology services under one roof.

What makes it special is that it is a state university that also performs police authority tasks and is responsible for the further training of all employees of the Hessian state administration. The studies take place in the departments of police and administration; through the latter, HöMS is closely linked to the municipal family in Hesse.
