Work opportunities - an easy start to a career
Every beginning is difficult? Work opportunities make it easier to get started.
They make it easy to start a career - without any pressure.
You can gain professional experience, acquire additional skills and try out new professional activities.
You get used to work routines and daily routines again - almost by yourself.
You will interact with your new colleagues as equals. You experience recognition and can make new contacts.

The Jobcenter Wiesbaden offers work opportunities in many different areas: Green space maintenance, day care centers or janitorial work and many others.
You receive an additional allowance of 2 euros per hour worked. At 30 hours a week, this amounts to around EUR 250 per month - in addition to your citizen's allowance.
On-site at the company together with your (perhaps soon to be new) colleagues - this is the best place to find out whether a professional activity suits you.
The potential new employer will also be pleased if you try out a job in an internship.
An internship is often the direct route to a permanent job.
An internship usually lasts one to a maximum of four weeks.
Would you like to do an internship in a company? The Wiesbaden Jobcenter will support you by covering travel costs and the cost of work clothing.
If the company is further away, the costs for overnight stays can also be covered.

Weekly group seminars to discuss problems and hurdles in everyday life and find solutions.
What am I good at? What do I enjoy doing? You can try things out and get to grips with them in three workshops.
This is possible in the "Mensa Pausenkönig" in the catering area and in the environmental workshop working with the sustainable material wood.
It is also possible to work in the media workshop with formats such as film or podcasts in connection with the question of the power of the media in times of shitstorms and fake news.

GOAL training center - orient, work, learn
Many people find themselves in a situation in their lives where they want or need to reorient themselves professionally.
The GOAL! project at Bauhaus Werkstätten Wiesbaden provides you with a personal coach.
What does a coach do? She or he goes on a journey of discovery with you: your strengths, your career aspirations, your health suitability - all of this is taken into account when deciding which career really suits you.
Together you will then find companies where you can "get a taste" of whether the job you have in mind is the right one for you.
This can take place at the Bauhaus workshops themselves in the areas of retail, warehousing/logistics, catering and horticulture.
The internship can also take place at external companies, for example in the office sector, IT or in production.
The project is supplemented with workshops that can be freely chosen, for example on employment law or financial issues. Always included: lots of tips, for example on citizens' benefits, health issues, stress management or self-presentation.
In order to be fit for a new job, there are also application documents created together with the coach as well as a personal job board. This bundles all job exchanges and provides daily updated results from the region.
