2006: Bowling Green parking garage
On May 19, 2006, the "Parkgarage Kurhaus, Casino/Staatstheater" was put into operation.
It took Züblin AG from Frankfurt exactly 15 months to complete the parking garage under the Bowling Green. 834 bored piles, which were screwed in around the garage, 65,000 cubic meters of excavated earth, which was mainly removed via Paulinenstrasse and Bierstadter Strasse, and 54 concrete lances, which were pulled in to secure the foundations of the Kurhaus in the underground passage from the garage to the Kurhaus, demanded a great deal of patience and tolerance from the residents.
The "sheet metal" in front of the Wiesbaden Kurhaus has disappeared to everyone's delight, but the venerable plane trees to the left and right of the bowling green also had to make way.
In the meantime, they have been replaced by new plantings which, together with the glass entrances to the underground car park, create a harmonious picture.
