Pop-up employer fair: Industry in the city center
"Industry in the city center" - supporting industrial companies in recruiting staff and revitalizing the city center The small pop-up employer fair is a project of the Department of Economics and Employment as part of the WI WORK LIFE | Industry skilled workers initiative.
"Industry in the city center" opened its doors for the first time in 2024 as a pilot project in a vacant space in the Luisenforum. The "experiment" was a success: around 700 direct visitors came to find out more from 20 exhibitors from the industry. With extensive advertising, more than 500,000 reader contacts were achieved.
Industrial employers present their offers at "Industry in the City Center": Training opportunities, diverse job profiles, career and development paths, master's and diploma theses, work contracts, interesting employer offers, and much more.
It is clear that not only the large and well-known companies are attractive employers, but also the small and medium-sized companies, some of which are owner-managed. They score points with short distances to managers and management, flat hierarchies and a family atmosphere. What all industrial companies in Wiesbaden have in common is that they offer exciting, varied and secure jobs close to home.
Low-threshold contact with future colleagues
The special charm of the employer fair: the low-threshold contact between companies and their potential trainees and employees.

Little effort for companies
The concept of "Industry in the city center" is very simple: a total of 20 industrial companies present themselves at five exhibitor stations, alternating daily. They have the opportunity to book themselves in for one to three days during the event. This results in a different constellation of exhibitors every day - which is good for networking. At the same time, it reflects the diversity of industrial companies for interested visitors.
The Department of Economics and Employment provides a standardized stand and exhibition concept - company personnel managers only need to bring their own roll-up and information material.
School classes are given the opportunity to find out about training occupations and apprenticeships in the mornings.
The next edition of Industrie in der Innenstadt will take place at the Luisenforum from September 22 to 28, 2025.
