Promotion of apprenticeships for secondary school pupils
Hessian companies receive subsidies if they employ secondary school leavers as trainees directly after leaving school.
The program aims to improve the chances of secondary school pupils to find a company apprenticeship and enable a direct transition into dual vocational training. The subsidies for employers amount to 50 percent of the training allowance in the first year of training and 25 percent in the second year. The third year of training is not subsidized.
Employers must conclude in-company training contracts with young people who have at most a lower secondary school leaving certificate and begin their training directly after leaving school in the year of application. In addition, the young people must be registered as training place applicants with the employment services.
Applications for funding for the coming training year must be received by the Kassel Regional Council by April 30, 2025.
