With its vacation programs, the Office for Social Work ensures that children are looked after during the vacation period in all Hessian vacations, thus relieving the burden on parents. In addition, the diverse cultural activities on offer during the vacations give children the opportunity to gain new experiences in a wide variety of areas without the stress of having to perform. The vacation program is also an educational offer outside of school, in which the children take part voluntarily and, as we have noticed, are always happy to return. There are activities for all interests and inclinations: Sports, artistic-creative offerings, adventure education, nature and animals, media education and gender-specific offerings for girls and boys. The program booklet is distributed to all schools and is available at the local administrations, Wiesbaden City Hall, the city library and the Office for Social Work.
