Wiesbaden Free Art School (wfk)
Founded in 1972 by Wolfgang Becker, the Wiesbadener freie Kunstschule (wfk) is an institute for children's and adult education in the field of fine arts and is based at Friedrichstraße 7. It is divided into the specialist areas of painting, drawing, photography and video art, as well as sculpture and printmaking. It also offers art theory seminars and courses such as composition theory, color theory, synthetic drawing, art history and objective work analysis.
The Wiesbaden School of Fine Arts has set itself the goal of providing a broad range of interested parties with a wide range of technical and artistic skills and improving the entry requirements for studying applied art. The interdisciplinary course comprises six semesters and offers those interested in art the opportunity to progress from basic studies to free artistic work in five steps.
The Wiesbadener freie Kunstschule also organizes workshops for beginners and advanced students in the field of visual art. The Wiesbaden Art School works closely with the Bauhaus Dessau Academy.
