Langenbeckplatz-Stadtgarten
The listed Langenbeckplatz-Stadtgarten is located in a district characterized by apartment buildings and villas. It was laid out in 1889-91 after the construction of St. Josef's Hospital and is built up with villas on the right-hand side. It was named after the doctor Bernhard von Langenbeck in 1898.
Langenbeckplatz-Stadtgarten is of great importance to the residents, patients and visitors of the adjacent hospital. The 4,500m2 citizens' park with its integrated playground, the only one in the district, is clearly demarcated by a 280 m long hedge and, with its numerous trees, shrubs and flowers, offers the surrounding district a "green space" to play, linger and experience for all generations.
