Kunze, Siegfried

Kunze was a teacher and, according to the Medenbach (opens in a new tab) local history association, worked there as a voluntary swimming instructor until the early 1980s. Most of the Medenbach schoolchildren attended the elementary school in Naurod. They did not receive regular swimming lessons there until the 1980s. Siegfried Kunze therefore organized an extracurricular activity at the Hofheim swimming pool.
Due to his commitment to the pupils in Medenbach, a traffic area, the Siegfried-Kunze-Weg, in the Medenbach district was named after the teacher by resolution of the town council on May 31, 1995.
