In 1905, Jung, a trained businessman, took over from his father the company L. D. Jung, Wiesbaden, founded in 1865, the large specialist store for household and kitchen appliances on Mauritiusplatz.

In addition to his business, he was also involved on a voluntary basis not only in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, but also in local politics. Particularly in the difficult period after the First World War, when Wiesbaden was occupied by French troops and separated from the rest of the Reich, he rendered valuable services to his home town through his various honorary posts. For example, he was a member of the city council from 1919-28, including two years as chairman of the city council. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of Wiesbadener Bank for 14 years and was Chairman of the Supervisory Board from 1937-42. Jung also worked as a commercial judge for 14 years. From 1919-33, in addition to several professional honorary posts, he was the representative of the Leipzig Trade Fair Office for the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce. After the Second World War, he devoted himself in particular to building up his business.
