Free Religious Community Wiesbaden

The Free Religious Community in Wiesbaden was founded on March 8, 1845 by liberal-democratic-minded citizens around the mill owner Bernhard May. The Freireligiöse Gemeinde was banned during the Nazi era. After the Second World War, new free religious communities were founded throughout Germany.

Today, the community office of the Freireligiöse Gemeinde is located at Rheinstraße 78, which is also home to the office of the Freireligiöse Landesgemeinschaft Hessen, which has its roots in the association of 25 Free Protestant communities founded in 1876.
