As a young woman, Coridass became a member of the SPD in 1918. After the end of the Second World War, she became involved in the Biebrich Citizens' Committee for the reconstruction of Wiesbaden in 1945. In the years 1946-48 and 1957-60, she was a member of the Wiesbaden City Council. Here she was particularly active in the areas of social affairs and welfare.
In 1946-71, she was the only woman to be a member of the Biebrich local advisory council, and she was also particularly committed to her work in the Biebrich Workers' Welfare Association, where she also held the office of 2nd Chairwoman of the District Women's Committee for a time.
On her 70th birthday in 1969, she was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany. In Biebrich, a day care center run by the Workers' Welfare Association is named after her. Coridass was buried in Biebrich cemetery.
