In 1912, Christian Kreussler founded the company for the production of textile dyes, which is still family-owned today. The medium-sized company operates the "Kreussler Pharma" and "Kreussler Textilchemie" divisions and is based in Wiesbaden-Biebrich. Kreussler Pharma was founded in 1948 and has been developing, producing and distributing pharmaceuticals, medical products and cosmetics nationally and internationally at its Wiesbaden site ever since. The focus here is on medicines for vein treatment and for stomach and intestinal diseases. Chemische Fabrik Kreussler & Co. sells its product range in over 50 countries.

Another focus is on oral health products to relieve pain in the oral mucosa, gums and lips. Kreussler has been the market leader in the dry cleaning sector in Europe since 1985. The industrial laundry sector, which was added in 1990, is expanding and now accounts for the largest share of the textile chemicals division's earnings. For the development of the new, environmentally friendly wet cleaning process, which was first introduced in 1991, Chemische Fabrik Kreussler & Co. received the 1993 Hesse Innovation Award for future-oriented action. In 2002, the company was awarded the "Experience counts" prize by the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce for its long tradition of employing older staff.
