Kunstarche Wiesbaden e.V. is an association founded in 2011 with the task of establishing an estate administration for artists from Wiesbaden and the region. In cooperation with the Department of Culture and the City Museum, which is currently being founded, the association was able to present the "Kunstarche project" to the public in 2012 in the "Schaufenster Stadtmuseum".

Its main activities are: Discovering, preserving, researching and exhibiting. In this way, the association aims to maintain an ongoing awareness of artistic production at the place of origin. Special attention is paid to the second half of the 20th century, the teachers of the Werkkunstschule and prominent members of the Wiesbaden artists' groups. A jury decides on the inclusion of an estate or individual works in the Kunstarche.

The Kunstarche was initiated by the three Wiesbaden artists Prof. Johannes Ludwig, Arnold Gorski and Prof. Dr. Wolf Spemann. It is located under the same roof as the Wiesbaden City Archive.
