RheinMain University of Applied Sciences

Around 13,900 students attend RheinMain University of Applied Sciences at its two campuses in Wiesbaden and Rüsselsheim, taking part in almost 70 degree programs. They help shape the social, economic and cultural life of the city of Wiesbaden.

Over 70 degree courses at two study locations in the Rhine-Main region - that's RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. Around 13,900 students study in the departments of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Design Informatics Media, Social Sciences and Wiesbaden Business School in the state capital of Wiesbaden and in the Department of Engineering in Rüsselsheim am Main.

As a university of applied sciences, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences attaches great importance to practical training. On-site laboratories, lecturers from the field, practical projects and practical placements in Germany and abroad as well as training, vocational and practice-integrated degree courses support this goal. The range of courses is continuously being developed.

Research activities and doctoral programs

RheinMain University of Applied Sciences is recognized for its vocational teaching and application-oriented research. This is particularly evident in the three profile-forming research focuses on the topics of "Engineering 4.0", "Smart Systems for People and Technology" and "Professionalism of Social Work". RheinMain University of Applied Sciences has had the right to award doctorates in the fields of Social Work and Applied Computer Science since 2017 and the right to award doctorates in the field of Mobility and Logistics since 2020. Two doctoral colleges are also run jointly with Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.

Living internationality

RheinMain University of Applied Sciences is a cosmopolitan university with many international contacts and partner universities on all continents, including 80 European partner universities. Scholarships for study visits to Australia and the USA are available as part of the Hessian state programs. In addition, degree courses with double degrees are offered, for example with universities in Thailand, Chile and Switzerland. RheinMain University of Applied Sciences welcomes international students and guest lecturers, thus also facilitating intercultural exchange on site.
