Road Maintenance Worker (f/m/d)
Always on the right track!
Your job? A clear view on every route!
As a road maintenance worker, you are responsible for the structural maintenance of roads, paths and highways as well as their maintenance, greenery care, cleaning and road safety. In summer, you maintain green spaces and plants, in winter you are responsible for winter maintenance; sometimes around the clock, even at weekends. You work in the fresh air all year round.
Your tasks? Many and varied!
- You secure embankments and ditches (e.g. at work and accident sites).
- You set up traffic signs and traffic facilities.
- You work with machines such as chainsaws.
- You drive trucks - sometimes with, sometimes without a trailer.
- You will obtain a C+CE driver's license and chainsaw license during your training.
Your training? Full throttle for safe roads!
- Start of training: September 1
- Duration of training: 3 years
- Practical training: Civil engineering and surveying office (opens in a new tab)
- Theoretical training: Vocational school in Bebra (opens in a new tab) (block teaching) and inter-company instruction in Rotenburg
- Examinations: Intermediate examination in the 2nd year of training, written and oral final examination in the 3rd year of training
