As an event technology specialist, you will work at various events such as trade fairs, concerts and company parties. You create technical concepts, implement them and coordinate the service providers. You will also set up the stage, sound, lighting and media technology.

• You will operate, test, set up and install sound, lighting, video and projection equipment and systems.
• You will assemble/disassemble event structures.
• You organize, set up and check the power supply.
• You assess safety and infrastructure.
• You evaluate and use effects (e.g. pyrotechnics).
• You plan work processes.

• Start of training: September 1
• Duration of training: 3 years
• Practical training: Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH (opens in a new tab)
• Theoretical training: Friedrich-Ebert-Schule (opens in a new tab) in Wiesbaden (block teaching)
• Examinations: Intermediate examination in the 2nd year of training, written and oral final examination in the 3rd year of training
• Further training opportunities: Master craftsman training after completion of vocational training and practical work experience

Must-haves

• Good secondary school leaving certificate
• Good knowledge of German with a good certificate
