Premiere of the reading party in the Anderer Salon - pack a book and read in a relaxed atmosphere

"Reading instead of dancing" is the motto of the reading party, which will take place for the first time on Saturday, March 29, at the Literaturhaus Villa Clementine, Frankfurter Straße 1. From 7 p.m., all interested parties and reading enthusiasts are invited to devote themselves to their current readings in the Other Salon and browse through them in a convivial atmosphere.

Between blocks of concentrated reading, there will also be the opportunity to talk to each other and exchange reading impressions or book tips. The GLYG team led by Annika Wenig will provide drinks and snacks. The reading party is scheduled to end at around 10 p.m., but attendance is not required for the entire duration and the offer is free to use. Admission is free and advance registration is not necessary.

The concept of reading parties or "silent reading parties" originated in America and is also becoming increasingly popular in this country. The basic idea is to read together in a pleasant atmosphere far away from digital distractions and interruptions to everyday life.

Further information can be found at wiesbaden.de/literaturhaus. The event is organized by Literaturhaus Villa Clementine/Kulturamt Wiesbaden in cooperation with GLYG.
