In the anonymous fellowship "Co-Dependents Anonymous" (CoDA), which aims to overcome self-harming behavior patterns, affected people can learn to develop a healthy relationship with themselves and others. The only requirement for membership is the desire for healthy relationships. According to CoDA's understanding, codependency is a relationship disorder in the sense that people become dependent on other people in a harmful and unhealthy way. CoDA speaks of relationship addiction when people make their entire happiness and well-being dependent on other people and cling to harmful relationships. CoDA is independent and is supported by the donations of its members.
