Originally, the swimmers' and non-swimmers' pools were to be lined with a stainless steel tub, the pool water treatment system renewed and the pool surrounds renovated as early as spring 2025. For this reason, it was planned to keep the outdoor pool closed for the entire 2025 summer season. However, in the course of extensive coordination and approval procedures, the scope of planning has expanded to such an extent that it is not feasible to start construction on time. Out of consideration for visitors, mattiaqua has therefore decided at short notice to open the Maaraue outdoor pool in summer as usual before the modernization work can then begin. mattiaqua would like to thank the public for their understanding with regard to these delays and will provide information on the specific schedule and all further steps in good time.
