RheinMain CongressCenter: New contracts in the medical sector
The RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) in Wiesbaden continues its successful course in the field of medical congresses. Two major events from the medical sector have once again chosen Wiesbaden as their venue: The Spine Congress will return to Wiesbaden in 2025, and the Allergy Congress will be hosted at the RMCC in 2026.
"These contracts confirm Wiesbaden's attractiveness as a conference location, especially for the medical sector," says Mayor Christiane Hinninger. "Congresses of this size contribute significantly to value creation within our city, be it in the hotel industry, gastronomy or retail."
The Spine Congress will take place for the 20th time in 2025 and will return to Wiesbaden after the successful event in 2018. The congress will bring several thousand trade visitors to Wiesbaden and further establish the city as a leading location for specialist medical events.
The Allergy Congress has also made a long-term decision for Wiesbaden. The event will once again take place at the RMCC in 2026 - and will continue to do so in subsequent years: A new three-year contract ensures that the Allergy Congress will also be held in 2029 and 2032. The Allergy Congress was already successfully held at the RMCC in 2020 and 2022 with several thousand participants. It was previously held at the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, but was then moved to the RMCC due to the expansion of the congress.
"With its modern infrastructure, central location and excellent accessibility, the RheinMain CongressCenter offers ideal conditions for medical congresses. The current contracts underline the strong position of Wiesbaden and the RMCC for the congress and event industry," emphasizes Martin Michel, Managing Director of WICM GmbH, which operates the RMCC.
The RMCC has also gained a new customer from the veterinary sector: The bpt Congress, one of the most renowned training events for practicing veterinarians in German-speaking countries, will be held in Wiesbaden for the first time in 2025. The bpt Congress will then alternate annually between Wiesbaden and Hanover. "The perfect infrastructure of the Rhine-Main region is ideal, both for participants and exhibiting companies. In addition, the RMCC offers the ideal conditions to host the entire congress, as well as the opportunity to expand in the coming years. We are looking forward to further discussions for 2027 and subsequent odd-numbered years," says Dr. Siegfried Moder, President of the German Association of Practising Veterinarians.
Over the course of the year, the RMCC will also host other top-class medical events - including the Internist Congress, which is one of the largest and most important medical congresses in Germany, as well as the German Radiology Congress, the German Rheumatology Congress and the PharmaCongress Production & Technology.
