Wiesbaden is a central component of the RhineMain Regional Park and connects the Rheingau with the circular route via the Leinpfad regional park route. Experience points increase the quality of life.

What is the RhineMain Regional Park?

The RhineMain Regional Park is a project that enhances and protects the landscape of the RhineMain metropolitan region. It creates paths and experience points that connect cities and nature. This enables citizens to experience the surrounding area better and relax here. Our landscape and open spaces will be made even more attractive in this way.

Wiesbaden as part of the regional park

The idea of developing the RhineMain Regional Park originated in the 1990s with the former Frankfurt Regional Association. Since then, more than 100 towns and municipalities have implemented over 350 projects. Wiesbaden has been part of the RhineMain Regional Park since 2007.

A route network with exciting adventure points

The heart of the regional park is the circular route. It links 35 municipalities around Frankfurt over a distance of around 193 kilometers. Wiesbaden, with the districts of Mainz-Kostheim and Delkenheim, lies on the main circular route. The banks of the Rhine and Main in Wiesbaden are also on the regional park route Leinpfad, which connects Wiesbaden with the Rheingau.

Today, the route network connects over 800 kilometers of paths and 35 cities, including Wiesbaden.

Experience points along the regional park routes enhance the landscape. People can relax and linger here. We already have several experience points in Wiesbaden. Further experience points are being planned. The Rhein.Main.Ufer concept contains ideas for further projects.

The money for this comes from the respective municipalities, the RhineMain Regional Park and the state of Hesse.
