Tasks
The Design and Monument Advisory Board advises public and private construction projects that influence the cityscape of Wiesbaden. The main focus of the consultation is to ensure that the project fits in well with its surroundings, is attractively and functionally designed and is implemented economically and sustainably.
It is particularly helpful for clients and planning teams, the city administration and city councillors if the consultation takes place early in the concept or preliminary design phase. This is because new and helpful recommendations can then be easily incorporated and implemented.
The meetings of the Design and Monument Advisory Board are organized by its office in the City Planning Office. Suggestions for the agenda can be made by the client, the city administration, political bodies and the advisory board.
The establishment of the advisory board was decided by the city council in 2012. It normally meets four times a year.
