Rheinhöhe sports park - planning permission granted
Handover of the building permit for the Rheinhöhe sports park by Andreas Kowol, Head of the Building Department, and Sandra Matzenauer, Head of Building Supervision, to Lord Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende and Roland Stöcklin, Managing Director of SEG Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft Wiesbaden mbH.
"My special thanks go to the building inspectorate. Thanks to their commitment, another major project can be implemented in Wiesbaden and clearly demonstrates the efficiency of our offices. The existing swimming pool in Mainzer Straße can thus be quickly replaced by the construction of the new leisure pool at a new location," said Andreas Kowol, Head of the Building Department, at the handover of the building permit.
"The Rheinhöhe Sports Park is an extensive and complex construction project. However, thanks to the great commitment and excellent cooperation of all those involved, all the necessary coordination was able to take place quickly and hurdles were removed so that we were able to issue the building permit this year," said Sandra Matzenauer, Head of Wiesbaden Building Supervision, summarizing the approval process.
SEG was commissioned with the overall management of the planning. The official start of construction is planned for January. Completion of the buildings is scheduled for the end of 2027 and the opening for mid-2028.
