ÖKOPROFIT program
ÖKOPROFIT is a program for corporate environmental and climate protection in which measures are developed and implemented to improve environmental, climate and sustainability performance and create an initial carbon footprint. Participants receive legal certainty on environmental issues and a cost-effective introduction to corporate environmental, climate and sustainability management in an established network.
With a combination of workshops and on-site consultations, the participating companies examine their environmental and climate-relevant processes. Within a year, an initial climate balance sheet and a strategy with steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and conserve resources are developed based on an inventory. With external support, a program of measures is drawn up and implemented for the areas of energy, water, waste, mobility and procurement. The aspects of motivation and communication are also important elements of the program.
ÖKOPROFIT is jointly financed by the state capital of Wiesbaden and the companies. The participants' own contributions depend on the size of the company.
