North-east: green district with historical charm

Wiesbaden-Nordost offers a unique blend of nature, history and modern quality of life.

A train descends the mountain.
The Nerobergbahn is Wiesbaden's weirdest landmark.

Spa district and parks

Wooded areas cover around two thirds of the district and characterize the image of this green district. The spacious parks in the Kurviertel, such as the Kurpark, the Bowling Green and the Warme Damm, contribute to the relaxed atmosphere and make the district a popular place for recreation. They not only offer green oases, but also a space for walks and leisure activities.

Viticulture and views

The Neroberg, known as the city's "local mountain", not only offers a breathtaking panoramic view, but is also used for wine-growing on its southern slope. The Opelbad and the Russian Orthodox church complete the picture of this landmark and make the Neroberg one of the most popular excursion destinations. The Neroberg offers a breathtaking panorama of Wiesbaden and the surrounding Rhine plain.

Historic architecture

The Wiesbaden-Nordost district is home to an impressive collection of Wilhelminian-style villas that reflect the historic charm of the city. These historic buildings contrast with modern apartment buildings that complement the image of the district and blend harmoniously into the surroundings.

Places of interest

The Nerobergbahn ("Wiesbaden's weirdest landmark"), the Kurhaus with the casino and the Hessian State Theater are among the well-known sights of Wiesbaden-Northeast. The Villa Clementine and the "Alter Friedhof" leisure area in the western part of the district offer further cultural and recreational activities. The "Unter den Eichen" area was once the headquarters of the ZDF broadcasting center and in the 1950s major feature films were produced at the "Taunus-Film-Gesellschaft". A memorial in the former bunker commemorates the victims of the Nazi regime.

Education and economy

The "Unter den Eichen" area is used by the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and companies in the media industry. Wiesbaden-Northeast is also an important business location.
