Corona vaccination
Here you will find all the important information about the coronavirus vaccination.
Vaccination center at the health department
Consultations and vaccinations for basic immunization as well as booster vaccinations with the new XBB.1.5 variant-adapted vaccine are possible by prior appointment at the vaccination centre at the public health department (see contact at the bottom of the page).
Vaccination is carried out according to the current recommendations of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO). The STIKO recommends a basic immunization consisting of three antigen contacts (vaccination or infection, but with at least two vaccine doses) for all persons aged 18 and over. In addition, STIKO recommends that people at increased risk of severe COVID-19 (over 60 years of age, with relevant underlying diseases from six months of age, residents in care facilities), people with an increased risk of infection due to their work (medical or nursing staff) as well as family members and close contacts of people undergoing immunosuppressive therapy who cannot be safely protected by a COVID-19 vaccination themselves receive further booster vaccinations - usually at intervals of more than twelve months from the last antigen contact, preferably in autumn.
The vaccination center at the public health department is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 3 pm. The rooms where the vaccinations take place are marked on site in the entrance area (Entrance A) of Konradinerallee 11.
