Elderly assistance and care planning
Here you will find all the information on planning for older people in Wiesbaden. This concerns work with the elderly and care.
Elderly care planning
Our aim is to improve the participation, prevention, health and advice of the elderly population. With our elderly care planning, we try to record and further develop the relevant structures and living conditions. The tasks range from regular reporting, coordinating and supporting networks of relevant stakeholders to identifying needs and developing and evaluating specific measures. This primarily concerns the areas of open work with the elderly, advice centers and GeReNet.Wi.
An important goal for the coming years is to strengthen the aforementioned structures within the neighborhoods. A central measure in this area is the establishment of neighborhood houses together with the large housing associations in Wiesbaden.
Care planning
Care planning, unlike elderly care planning, cannot directly develop measures and exert a controlling influence on the city's care infrastructure. This is due to the fact that responsibilities were shifted to the federal and state level with the introduction of long-term care insurance. However, as a city, we have a strong interest in ensuring the security of municipal care services. The central task of planning in this area is the creation of care market transparency through reporting, networking, advice and support for construction projects. This is complemented by care prevention and the strengthening of support structures in the neighborhood as part of elderly care planning.
