For us, the freinetplus concept means that learning always takes place in social interaction. Children discover the world and phenomena with each other and with adults, e.g. in workshops such as the creative workshop and wood workshop, in projects, in supervised activities and independently. Our task is to take the children's questions and topics seriously with openness, respect, care and responsibility, to find answers and solutions together, but also to discover new things. An essential feature of a freinetplus day care center is the co-determination "The children have the floor" in the weekly group meeting. The joint organization of the daily routine forms the basis for learning processes in all areas of education: language, music, art, movement, experience of nature ... Pedagogical tools are: Weekly schedules, what takes place (used by children and adults alike), distribution of tasks via offices / duty rosters (table duty, flower duty, etc.), sign-in and sign-out boards (age-appropriate and appropriate to the child's stage of development), workshops (used with and without adults), jointly established rules, opportunities for communication (wall newspaper, group discussion, morning circles, children's councils, cross-group meetings). Even the youngest children in our groups grow into these structures and learn to deal with these methods and opportunities at an early age. When accepting new children, we follow the "Berlin acclimatization model". Infants and very young children in particular need to feel secure and trust their new caregiver in order to feel comfortable and develop without fear. For this reason, the settling-in process is carried out intensively with the parents or a caregiver of the child. Together we embark on a journey to accompany your child in its social, emotional and cognitive development.
