"Luisa is here!" campaign

"Luisa is here!" is part of the nationwide prevention campaign "Celebrate safely" and offers women and girls quick and uncomplicated help in the event of sexual harassment and violence.

About the campaign

Women and girls often experience situations where they feel harassed or harassed when partying or going out. The "Luisa is here!" campaign offers a quick and discreet way to get help in Wiesbaden.

Anyone who feels uncomfortable or threatened can simply ask the staff in participating bars, restaurants and clubs: "Is Luisa here?" - this is the signal for support and a safe place to go.

The campaign is coordinated and financed by the Wiesbaden Municipal Women's Department. It is supported by the Night Mayors of Wiesbaden, the Youth Parliament, the Prevention Council and the West Hesse Police Headquarters.

Join in

Businesses such as bars, restaurants, discotheques or kiosks can join the initiative. Interested parties should contact the Wiesbaden Municipal Women's Department.

Video: "LUISA. The city belongs to everyone - for sure"

In November 2023, the video "LUISA. The city belongs to everyone - for sure" was created as the result of a multi-year project with the Rhein-Main University of Applied Sciences, Communication Design course. Under the expert guidance of the Wiesbaden Municipal Women's Department, students explored the requirements of the Istanbul Convention to combat violence against women.

The video celebrated its premiere on November 21, 2023 as part of the vernissage of the "No-Go Gallery". Filmmaker Matthias Gathof and the Scaramouche Academy contributed to the realization. The film idea and storyboard were created by students Sophie Hellmuth and Jana Hensgen.
