Advice and orientation
Federal Employment Agency
The Federal Employment Agency provides basic advice on all issues relating to gainful employment, further training and financial support options, provided you do not receive a citizen's allowance (SGB II) or other state benefits.
Municipal social benefits and job center
If you receive citizen's allowance (SGB II), you will be looked after by case management at the municipal social benefits and job center. This includes advice and support in taking up employment and developing an integration strategy, including job placement, application training, internships in companies, qualification and further training opportunities as well as financial assistance for taking up employment and setting up a business.

Further training and qualification
In most cases, it is women who take time out of work to care for and raise family members. In addition to the above-mentioned services offered by the Equal Opportunities Officer, you can also find information events, advice, support and training opportunities from various providers to help you successfully (re-)enter the job market.

School-leaving qualifications
Regardless of your age, you have the opportunity to catch up on school-leaving qualifications full-time or as an evening course. This is possible at the following schools in Wiesbaden:

Re-entry and promotion of qualification and training
Depending on your individual requirements, you can also receive funding from various agencies (Wiesbaden Municipal Job Center, Federal Employment Agency) for your further training, retraining or qualifications after periods of childcare. This includes, for example, the payment of course fees, travel costs, lump-sum allowances for childcare costs and, under certain circumstances, the granting of unemployment benefit I or citizen's allowance during further training.

Depending on your personal requirements, your school education can be financially supported via the Training Assistance Act (BAföG).
Upgrading Training Assistance Act
According to the "Aufstiegs-BAföG" (Upgrading Training Assistance Act), further vocational training is funded through grants and favorable loans depending on income.
Educational leave
According to the Hessian Educational Leave Act, employees and trainees are entitled to one week's paid leave per year for individual educational leave. The prerequisite for this is that the event must be recognized.
