Leisure and cultural program from 55plus

The range of programs offered by the city's department for work with the elderly is wide-ranging and offers older people a variety of ideas for cultural and social enrichment of everyday life.

We live leisure and culture

The Department of Social Work for the Elderly offers a multifaceted leisure and cultural program for senior citizens in Wiesbaden that has become an integral part of the social landscape.

The program creates encounters, strengthens social participation, counteracts loneliness and keeps body and mind in motion.

The program ranges from leisure events and cultural activities to social events. Excursions, hikes, workshops, concerts, the coffee gossip series and regular tea dances are also part of the wide range of activities.

People who are at least 55 years old and receive basic income support, citizen's benefit or housing benefit on an ongoing basis or are in possession of a volunteer card are granted a discount on designated events on presentation of the relevant proof.

If you would like to receive regular information about our events, please send us the following declaration of consent online or by post.

The brochure is available locally at the town hall, the local administrations, the Office for Social Work, the senior citizens' meetings and meeting points, as well as from the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council.
