Rheingau Wine Week
Celebrating again: Rheingau Wine Week 2025

Joie de vivre, lightness and hospitality

The Rheingau Wine Week - a highlight of the city of Wiesbaden's annual calendar of events - was celebrated in 2024 from August 9 to 18. For the 47th time, wineries offered their wines and sparkling wines for tasting and numerous food stalls provided refreshments. The unique selling point of the Rheingau Wine Week is the special atmosphere on the squares between the town hall, market church and castle, in addition to the diverse and local range of wines on offer from the winegrowers. In 2025, the Wine Week will be celebrated from August 8 to 17.

96 wine stands, 18 catering stands

At 117 stands - 96 wine stands, 18 gastronomy stands, a water stand from ESWE-Versorgung, a Lotto Hessen sales stand and a charity stand "A light shines for you" - you were spoiled with wine and sparkling wine from Wiesbaden and the Rheingau as well as culinary delights. Thanks to the stand plan, you can find your favorite vintner online and reserve a table right away.

Wine stand of the twin city San Sebastián

This year, due to the cancellation of another winemaker at short notice, the Wiesbaden-San Sebastián town twinning will be presenting wines from the Rezabal and Baigorri wineries for the second time in a row.

Climate protection, sustainability and wine festival ticket

The sustainable approach to the food on offer at the Wine Week serves to protect the climate: plastic crockery and cutlery are not used and there is once again a reusable bottle deposit of three euros. The official wine glass of the Wine Week is produced in a more environmentally friendly way and is made of lighter glass, which means that Wiesbaden has saved the environment 315 kilograms of CO2. The glass can be purchased for three euros at the Tourist Information and at eight selected stands at the Wine Week. It is decorated with a motif from the recently opened Reinhard Ernst Museum (mre). For environmentally friendly travel to and from the event by bus and train, there will once again be a wine festival event ticket subsidized by the Department of Economics. This is not only particularly inexpensive, but can also be used as a voucher for wine tasting at selected winegrowers.
