From June 15 to 18, 1957, the eighth congress of the International Association of Real Estate Agents and Property Managers took place in the Rhein-Main-Hallen under the patronage of Federal Minister of Economics Ludwig Erhard.

Under the chairmanship of Horace Julliard from Switzerland, several hundred participants discussed the position of estate agents in the economy, the business activities of estate agents and financing problems in real estate transactions in four plenary sessions.

In addition to the substantive discussions, there was a ladies' excursion to Frankfurt and Kronberg, a cruise on the Rhine, a fashion show, a visit to the opera "Madame Butterfly", a tour of the Henkell sparkling wine producer and a closing banquet. In addition to the conference fee of DM 80, these additional services cost between
8 and 35 DM were charged.

The highlight of this extensive program was the invitation by the Lord Mayor to the Red Pavilion of the Kurhaus at noon on 17 June, when ten international representatives of the Congress Presidium signed the city's Golden Book.
