The Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft returned to Wiesbaden in April 1960 for the tenth anniversary of its annual meeting.
After a successful conference had already been documented in 1954 with an entry in the Golden Book, the magistrate decided on April 22nd to repeat this honor in 1960 with resolution number 640.
In addition to Chairman Director General Vits, Federal President Lübke, Federal Ministers Etzel and Balke and the ambassadors of Ghana, the United Arab Republic and Argentina also signed the book. Various representatives of the federal states and individual federal ministries, other politicians and General Speidel, a representative of the German Armed Forces, also signed.
In addition to the signatories, Lord Mayor Buch also welcomed church dignitaries, Bishop Stohr and Auxiliary Bishop Kampe, during the festive reception in the Yellow Salon of the Kurhaus. Buch emphasized the importance of science and praised the work of the Stifterverband and the commitment of all those involved.
