Conference of the Presidents of the German State Parliaments
On May 21, 1964, the presidents of the state parliaments of the Federal Republic of Germany signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
In May 1964, the presidents of the West German state parliaments met in Wiesbaden City Palace, the seat of the Hessian State Parliament.
As in 1947, the city council invited the representatives to the town hall after the conference and then to a reception in the Kurhaus. On this occasion, the guests signed the city's Golden Book.
The presidents of the state parliament unanimously praised the good organization in the spa town and announced further meetings in Wiesbaden. The region, which offers a wide range of cultural activities and natural beauty to relax after the political business, was a decisive factor in this.
Mayor Buch thanked them for their kind words and expressed his pleasure at the politicians' intention to return to the spa town.
