Presidents of the German state parliaments

On May 21, 1970, the presidents of the German state parliaments signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.

On the occasion of the 35th meeting of the presidents of the West German state parliaments, Mayor Schmitt invited the politicians to a reception in the ballroom of the town hall at 9:00 a.m. on May 21, 1970. He paid tribute to the contribution of the state parliaments to the expansion and preservation of democracy in Germany.

Bundestag President Kai-Uwe von Hassel expressed his thanks for the warm welcome and emphasized the joy with which his colleagues from the federal states and he himself regularly returned to the spa town. After the magistrate had already given its approval in resolution number 772 of April 28, the parliamentarians then signed the city's Golden Book.

After a standing reception with the Committee of Elders and the magistrate, the presidents returned to the Wiesbaden City Palace to continue their conference on the grounds of the Hessian State Parliament.
