Nico Rosberg

On February 4, 2012, Formula 1 racing driver Nico Rosberg signed the city of Wiesbaden's Golden Book.

Nico Rosberg was born in Wiesbaden on June 27, 1985, the son of Finnish Formula 1 world champion Keke Rosberg and his German wife Gesine Rosberg.

After growing up in Germany, Ibiza and Monaco, he began karting as a teenager in 1996. After winning the German Formula BMW in 2002, he spent two years in the Formula 3 Euroseries before winning the GP2 series in 2005.

Since then, he has competed in the highest class of motorsport, Formula 1, where he finished third four times and second twice in 128 races up to 2013.

His greatest success to date was winning the Chinese Grand Prix in 2012 for the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team.
