Hans-Joachim Jentsch, Jörg Jordan and Gottfried Kiesow
On November 18, 2006, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans-Joachim Jentsch, Jörg Jordan and Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. h.c. Gottfried Kiesow signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
On November 18, 2006, Lord Mayor Hildebrand Diehl honoured three Wiesbaden citizens who had rendered outstanding services to their city and the state over many years: Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans-Joachim Jentsch as a member of the state and federal parliaments, as a federal constitutional judge and not least as Wiesbaden's Lord Mayor, Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. Gottfried Kiesow as President of the Hesse State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments and founder of the German Foundation for Monument Protection and Jörg Jordan as a city councillor, head of the city development and building department, State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry for Regional Development, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry and as Hessian Minister for Regional Development, Housing, Agriculture, Forestry and Nature Conservation.
All three had made outstanding achievements in their fields and the town owed a great deal to each of them. In recognition, they were awarded honorary citizenship.
The honorees were very modest and expressed their thanks for the respect they had received. They then signed the city's Golden Book.
Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. Gottfried Kiesow died on November 7, 2011 in Wiesbaden.
