Board of the German Society for Internal Medicine
On April 13, 1969, the Executive Board of the German Society of Internal Medicine signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
In the spring of 1969, German and international internists met for their annual congress in Wiesbaden. At a reception in the ballroom of the town hall on April 13, 1969, Lord Mayor Schmitt therefore focused his speech on the long tradition and the good relations between the spa town and the doctors.
The president of the conference, Dietrich Jahn, picked up on these remarks and described Wiesbaden's connection with the internists as the best marriage imaginable. After Jahn had been presented with the city's bowl of honor by Schmitt, he and the Presidium of the Congress of Internists signed the city's Golden Book. Afterwards, each of the guests received a chronicle of the city as well as Neroberger wine as a souvenir of their visit to Wiesbaden.
